Aaron Hughes
Caps – 51

Hughes made his international debut in March 1998 against Slovakia and has been a regular member of the squad since then. He usually plays as either a right back or full back and has played his domestic football for Newcastle United, making over 300 appearances for the club and is now currently starring for Aston Villa.

David Healy
Caps - 54

Healy now holds the record as the top goal scorer of Northern Ireland, at this point in time netting in 24 goals in only 54 appearances, including match winning goals against England and Spain. He made his international debut for the Northern Irish in the year 2000 and has been a permanent fixture ever since. Healy’s career really set off while playing for Preston North End between 2000 and 2004, making over 150 appearances for the club. He is now a permanent fixture in the Leeds United first team. He scored a hat trick for Northern Ireland in a match against Spain in September 2006.

Roy Carroll
Caps - 18

Roy Carroll made his international debut for Northern Ireland in the year 1997 in a football match against Thailand and soon became a permanent fixture in the squad; however his time with Northern Ireland has been frustrating at times as he was their second choice goalkeeper behind Mike Taylor. He started his career off playing for Hull City between 1995 and 1997 before spending four fantastic years with Wigan Athletic between 1997 and 2001 making over 150 appearances for the Latics. He went on to spend four years playing for Manchester united and won a league title winners medal with the Reds at the end of the 2002 – 2003 premiership season.

James Quinn
Caps – 50

James Quinn has been a regular member of the Northern Ireland football team since making his debut in the year 1996 and has now earned over 50 caps, scoring four goals for his nation. He has played for a variety of clubs over the years, making his debut for Blackpool in the year 1993, spending five years with the club. He went on to play for WBA, Notts County, Bristol Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday, Peterborough, Bristol city and is currently playing for Northampton town, signing for the club in the year 2006.
