Norman Whiteside
Caps – 38

Whiteside is one of Northern Irelands most famous ever players, making his debut for Northern Ireland at the tender age of 17 years and 41 days old and now currently holds the record as the youngest ever player to play in a world cup finals. He played in the 1982 and 1986 world cup finals and won 38 caps for Northern Ireland, scoring 9 goals for the nation. He made his debut with Manchester United at the end of the 1981 – 82 season and scored the winning goal in the 1985 FA Cup final. Whiteside signed for Everton in 1989, however after persistent knee injuries he retired from playing.

Billy Hamilton
Caps – 41

Hamilton played 41 times for Northern Ireland and scored five goals. He played a crucial role in Northern Irelands 1982 world cup win over Spain. He played his club football for Burnley, Queens Park Rangers and Oxford United. He finished his playing career off with Distillery F.C.

Danny Wilson
Caps - 24

Wilson was a key member of the Northern Ireland football squad during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. He scored one goal for Northern Ireland during his time playing for the national squad. He won the league cup with Luton town in the year 1988 and was an FA Cup and league cup runner up with Sheffield Wednesday in 1993. Her alter on embarked on a fine managerial career, helping Barnsley FC to promotion into the premier league during the 1996 – 1997 football season.

Mal Donaghy
Caps – 91

Donaghy made his Northern Ireland debut in a match against Scotland in 1980. In total Donaghy has played for his nation on an incredible 91 occasions and was very much part of the Northern Ireland squad of the 1982 and 1986 world cup finals, most notably being sent off against Spain. He started his successful career playing for Luton town, before moving on to play for Manchester united and then Chelsea.
