(1950 – 1959)

Blanchflower is arguably the finest ever player to have played for Northern Ireland. He is one of the greatest right half’s ever to play football and attributed fine passing skills. Between 1949 and 1963 he played for Northern Ireland, in total earning 56 caps for his country, making an appearance in the 1958 world cup finals, captaining his nation.
